Random Post-Its

I run my life using Post-It notes (kudos to 3M). But I guess I need to be a little more detailed in what I write. Several examples:

magnesium trisilicate

Just that. No explanation. Why did I write that down??? Google tells me it's an antacid. I already have a perfectly good one I use. I'm keeping the note. Maybe I'll need it when I remember why I jotted it down!

Melissa followed by a phone #

(Who is Melissa and why do I need her number? Maybe I should call her and ask....)

A phone number, C7, and $63

Another case of maybe calling the number. It surely must have meant something to me when I wrote it down. I hope whoever it is I owe $63 doesn't send Guido to collect it!

Two stateroom numbers from a cruise ship we were once on (only one of them the one we occupied)

A recipe for homemade puppy urine remover (2 c. white vinegar, 2 t. baking soda, 2 drops soap, water in a spray bottle)

Because we have a new puppy. Ah, the joy of puppies! I hope my carpet survives another puppy.

A random 10-digit phone number (Utah just went to 10-digit dialing)

Seriously! How many phone numbers do I need? And why don't I write down what they're for? Another number I am not calling.

"The Travels of Marco Polo" by (oddly enough) Marco Polo.

The home phone number of Daniel's girlfriend (which I nearly called at 2am recently.)

An order number, an amount of money, Mary Jo, and a date.

Was it the date I ordered or the date expected? What company was it? Did I ever get the order?

A list of items to take to the hospital for the hysterectomy I don't seem to need any longer.

(Hurray!)

A list of countries which I have visited and for which I want to collect charms to put on a necklace.

And many other random things: the orthodontist's phone number, a note to call the counselor at the high school, an email address I need, the names and passwords to get onto the school grade reporting system to keep track of how my boys are doing, etc.

I love Post-Its, but I have GOT to be better about getting the details down because what good is a note if you have absolutely NO IDEA what it means!!!!
